Well that isn't good at all.
I don't have a Windows 8 box local for testing, but I'll see if I can't rectify that soon. I'll also test here on Win7 and Vista to see if I can reproduce the issue.
As far as clearing up the issue, you can start by removing the following directory:
~/AppData/Local/CineraLLC/Lugdunon/cache
Where ~ is your user's home directory.
Please let me know if there is anything else you need.
